Words cannot describe how fantastic our wedding day was!

It exceeded all expectations and was breathtakingly beautiful. The smoothness of the day was all thanks to Karen’s incredible team and impeccable organizational skills.

From the day we arrived in Bali Karen was there to meet us and run through all the logistics. She was totally knowledgeable about the process, our venue and her vendors and every question we posed was answered immediately. Karen’s expertise and efficiency took all the nerves and worry out of planning our big day.

Our guests were astounded by the beautiful location and the way the whole day was seamlessly organised to perfection. The wedding was the best that any of them had ever been to and a day that everyone will remember.

We would highly recommend Karen for her style, knowledge and finesse.

Dear Karen,

Thank-you for the fantastic job you did in helping to make our wedding events such an incredible success.

From the welcome drinks Thursday evening, to the sunset ceremony on Saturday, followed by a post wedding BBQ on Sunday – many of our guests are still telling us our wedding was “the best wedding they’ve ever been to”.

The wedding itself was everything we’d hoped it would be and so much more.
The location was stunning, the reception set-up was beautiful and the food was delicious.
But it was also relaxed and a whole lot of fun and that’s because your meticulous planning allowed us to relax and enjoy the time with our guests.

Whilst our guests were blown away by the venue and setting, everyone’s still talking about the fire-dancers who appeared out of nowhere just as we cut the cake.

This was such a great suggestion, as was the idea of the legong dancers during cocktails, and the Balinese children to welcome the guests as they arrived.

So many little touches like this all helped to make the wedding such a wonderful day.

I was also hugely impressed to arrive at the post-wedding BBQ the following day (which was a good one hour drive from the wedding venue) to see everything perfectly set up; from the tables and chairs in the villa’s garden, to the flowers from the ceremony the day before at either side of the villa’s entrance, the cake in air-conditioned comfort, champagne chilling in the fridge and the caterer at the ready. Just perfect.

Karen, your professionalism and eye for detail contributed to a wonderful wedding celebration, an experience we and all our guests will never forget.

A potential venue that we were emailing with asked if we had a wedding planner. With only a couple of potential names to speak of, they recommended Cher Ange weddings & events. That day, the day we were flying to Bali for what became our first wedding planning trip, we emailed Karen, and received a response within 15 minutes with a proposal to meet at our villa 2 days later.

Before that meeting had even arrived, we started to get a feeling of the service level that Cher Ange weddings & events would provide. We had not confirmed Cher Ange weddings & events, not even met Karen yet, and already she was texting us, asking for our wedding ideas and asking if we were available to go with her to see potential wedding venues.

From that very first meeting, we knew that Karen was different to the other wedding coordinators that we’d met, and that she was the one that was going to make our overseas wedding vision come true. Without any obligation, Karen spent considerable hours driving us to visit venue prospects, sharing her experiences and knowledge. It was clear that she not only had great contacts in the industry, but was willing to go above and beyond for her clients. By the end of that trip we knew that Bali was what we wanted, and Karen really suited our style and expectations so we just had to book her right away!

We described Karen to our friends as a “French woman (who has creative flair), married to an Aussie (she could talk Aussie rules footy with the Groom), grew up in Jakarta and living in Bali (speaks Bahasa and has local knowledge)”. In our opinion – perfect!! Karen really listened to our ideas and our vision for the wedding and understood exactly how to turn the ideas into a reality.

Being meticulously detailed planners ourselves, we were at ease during the whole planning process, as we were confident that every detail was being taken care of – Karen would tell us it was being done before we’d even thought of it! We found it very easy to organise our wedding from Australia as Karen would send us frequent progress updates and had a transparent and convenient payment process. This was important for us, that we felt everything, including the financials, were secure and under control – and she was always available to take our calls !

We often felt like we were talking to an old friend, but knew we were dealing with an organised professional, someone who we could count on and trust, and who had no trouble whatsoever in catering our requests or answering our concerns – whatever it took. Karen arranged a 2 day trip with back to back meetings with all the vendors, and it was clear that the vendors Karen worked with shared the same attention to quality, service and reliability. Nothing was too much trouble, and the quality was second to none.

As with any wedding there will always be ‘hiccups’ in the planning, but the difference with Karen was that any issue was resolved immediately, with (what seemed to us) an effortless grace. When we arrived in Bali for the wedding, Bali was experiencing a bout of unseasonal rains – Karen had a marquee company already at our venue to quote and on standby for our confirmation. We had a medial emergency with a vendor risking their availability for our wedding – Karen had arranged a suitable replacement to be on standby. There was a resolution to the problem before we even knew there was a problem. This is what we expected from our wedding coordinator – to have complete faith and trust that they are just getting on with the job, leaving us to try and relax.

On the wedding day, Karen was there the whole day and night – which was really pleasing because we were able to share with her as well our joy in seeing it all come together. We laughed when we heard Karen outside ‘directing traffic’, as we knew that whilst we were inside enjoying champagne, Karen was there attending to every little detail, issue, concern, and problem without us even knowing about it or needing to worry. And we must say, to keep the Fire Dancers a secret for months from such an organised bride (who claimed to know every last detail) was a real testament to the lengths she went to, to bring that touch of sparkle to our wedding day.

We had the most amazing wedding week ever and could not have been happier with how it all turned out. 5 days, 3 separate wedding events – all a complete success. The wedding venue looked absolutely gorgeous, the flowers exquisite, the food sensational, and our guests have not stopped talking about what a fantastic week it was! .

Karen, we are both so grateful to you for all that you did for our wedding, and making it the most memorable and special day. We loved every minute of it, and have such fond memories of our entire Bali wedding journey! We have already given your details to so many people, and have no hesitation in doing so. Thank you again for making our wedding something that we will cherish forever.

Some people believe in chance, some in coincidence. We don’t believe in coincidences – we believe it was Grace that led us to Karen. It was meant to be – and we are so grateful as we could not have had the wedding of our dreams without her help.

Where do we start to thank Karen for helping to make the most important day of our lives to be the best and most enjoyable… actually far beyond our dreams?

From the first email to meeting in person we knew we had met the perfect person to fulfil our needs. As an Irish couple living in Brisbane, Australia and planning a wedding in Bali with all the guests travelling from Ireland for a week she had her work cut out with requests but nothing was a problem our every wish was answered which was so wonderful.

We did not have one worry as Karen explained everything going through all the options we could have and all the time you know you are dealing with someone who is an absolute professional and a really fabulous person. We had so much fun planning the wedding we wish we could do it all again next year!

There is only one word to describe our wedding day and that was perfect! Perfect and fantastic fun; other words used throughout the day were stunning, mouthwatering food, the best fun and best band ever, most memorable and truly wonderful! Everyone had so much fun its difficult to put into words. Having Karen there for the day we did not have to think once about anything; as we knew she was there to look after everything for us and if there were problems we did not know about them.

Now we are home and are getting such wonderful notes from friends and family who say they really had the best week and it was a wedding that was going to be difficult to beat and more than likely was never going to be which was great to hear as we knew how fantastic we thought it was!

And we have wonderful memories and amazing photo’s to remind us of the best day of our lives!

We first “met” Karen via phone and it was clear from our first conversation that she was not only experienced, knowledgeable and organized, but also extremely likeable! All these qualities were confirmed in our first meeting in Bali, where she had lined up two full days of back-to-back meetings with photographers, videographers, bands, florists and caterers – all of whom came prepared and willing to make MANY adjustments, in part because of their professionalism, but surely also because of their sound relationship with Karen. We were sold!

Karen masterfully guided us through the many options that came with organizing a destination wedding. Every time we were not fully satisfied with a particular vendor, she would already be on the phone making arrangements for alternatives. Her resourcefulness, flexibility and calm efficiency was paramount in making our special day a great success. One thing that cannot be stressed enough is the importance of having a wedding organizer that you trust completely – we had the misfortune of having on of the vendors bail out on us a couple of days before the wedding. Before reporting this to us, she had already had our down payment returned, booked another vendor she had had experience with, and as we later read, written a somewhat scathing email to the vendor telling him how unprofessional he was and how she would likely not use him again. Karen fights for her customers! What would have otherwise been a stressful hiccup, was a very calm and worry-free phone call.

A final note I would personally like to point out is that I believe what truly sets Karen apart from the rest is her sincerity, understanding and warmth. I’m sure that there are other capable wedding planners out there in Bali – but that’s not necessarily all you need in preparation of such an emotional occasion. During stressful times, Karen was a professional advisor, a confidant, someone to laugh with and more importantly, a friend.

Thank you so much Karen, for making our wedding a stunning, tasteful and happy occasion – we will be revisiting the memories often and for a very very long time!

I just wanted to thank you for making our wedding a huge success. You did a wonderful job keeping things moving and making both David and I feel like the most important people there. Our guests cannot stop talking about how much fun and how this is the best wedding they had been to. Cheers to the catering staff who prepared for us an outstanding meal and to the wait staff who took care of our every need. We have had so many comments about how great the food was.

Everything went exactly as planned, which allowed me to really relax and enjoy myself. It was so nice not to have to worry about the flow of events, as you did a great job of taking care of that. The DJ and the bartender also deserve praise for helpingto keep the party going. Looking back, I wouldn’t change a single thing. The highlight of the night was the fire dance show. That was just amazing. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and we were very happy with everything!

Thank you very much and we would highly recommend you (that’s what Craig and Trudi did) to any of our friends who are going to get married in Bali.

After attending a beautiful wedding in Bali in 2006, I dreamed of my own sometime in the future. Soon after I found myself contacting Karen who had organized that wedding and we were talking about villas, flower arrangements, caterers etc for our wedding in Dec 2008.

I described Karen to my friends – Western competence, French style and Balinese insider knowledge – precisely what Fergus and I needed, having lived in Indonesia many years ago when we experienced how things could go wrong despite the best plans, recognizing we needed someone on the ground as we created our dream wedding remotely from our residence in Singapore.

Karen is organized, meticulous with a great attention to detail. I have been described with those same characteristics but Karen was ahead of me on all aspects of the wedding. She handled couple disagreements delicately (Fergus and I disagreed on the choice of the villa and she gave objective views), she anticipated possible issues (to avoid last minute changes in seating arrangements she suggested a very flexible table assignment scheme), she suggested ways to cut costs (“if you have already been married and just want a blessing then what you need is a mere renewal of vows”), she exercised good judgment (“the caterer counted on taking the ceremony chairs from the dining table set up; this would have been chaotic while the cocktails were going on so I asked the florist to provide the ceremony chairs at a minimal fee”) and she kept tabs of currency fluctuations separating out vendors who charged in US dollars vs vendors who charged in Indonesian rupiah.

The result was a dream wedding, the type we read about but never thought it could happen to us : a wonderfully relaxed 3 day event with a dinner the previous evening and brunch the following day. Friends who flew in from the US, Europe and elsewhere in Asia were treated to the magic of the island of the gods, the rains took a pause for a majestic sunset and everyone was in good spirits as the evening elevated us all to a heightened experience where we were our most beautiful, generous, friendly, glamorous selves.

Two days before the wedding when friends asked us how we were feeling we agreed – “All the planning we could do has been done and now we relax and surrender to what will be.” Of course we could also say that confidently as Karen was at the peak of her work.

I was given Karen’s details from a friend who used her for a wedding a few years ago, he told me she was good, however good is an understatement.

The planning of the wedding and get together bar-b-q the day after could not of gone more perfect. Her knowledge of Bali and the suppliers that she uses are second to none. Everything was so professional and helped us enjoy not only the wedding day but the lead up to it as well.

All of our guests were blown away by the location, the ceremony, the food and the decorations. It was the most perfect day either of us could of ever imagined and using Karen and her team helped us make this day so special.

Karen organized a wedding party for me in Bali last year. It was actually a series of events starting with a rehearsal dinner, a brunch, and the church service, followed by another religious ceremony . . . all leading to the big reception for 300 guests.

Throughout the various events Karen was always on top of it, even to the minute details. Everything was planned meticulously and yet she’s flexible to changes.

Needless to say, all went according to plan; there were no unwanted surprises. It’s a real pleasure working with someone who takes her responsibilities seriously and a real comfort to know that you can rely on someone to organize something as complex and as important as a wedding. I would work with her again any day.
